About Me

My name is Ray Hood, and I am an addiction counsellor with lived experience. I am proudly 26 years clean from alcohol and drugs, and I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with addiction to move towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My personal recovery journey, combined with many years of professional practice, allows me to offer compassionate, non‑judgemental, and practical support. I understand first‑hand the complex challenges that addiction brings, including the impact of past trauma, emotional pain, and the effects addiction can have on relationships, work, and wellbeing.

I have worked extensively within police custody suites, prisons, and therapeutic institutions, supporting individuals from all walks of life. This experience has enabled me to help many people achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Appointments are available in the evenings and at weekends, subject to availability.

IMPORTANT: Sober Coaching is only offered on a strict 6 month contract basis and subject to availability
